Young lovers Hero and Claudio are set to marry in a week. Whilst they wait a plan is conspired with the best man to be Don Pedro to set a lover’s trap for Benedick, an arrogant and adamant bachelor and Beatrice, the sharply witty cousin of Hero and Benedick's intellectual sparring partner. Meanwhile, the evil brother of Don Pedro, Don John, plots to break up the wedding.
