Our mission

We aim to promote student theatre within Sheffield and on a larger scale produce high-quality theatre which can be seen at a low cost by students and the general public. We provide students with the chance to learn new skills by using our knowledge of theatre to train students in technical theatre, costume, make-up and performance. We are a society which is open to all whether you want to act, work backstage, be involved in publicity, watch or just meet people with similar interests. We enjoy what we do, which may sound clichéd, but it's all done for fun, so we want to make sure everyone involved in SUTCo is loving whatever they do as much as us.

Want to report a welfare concern anonymously?

Heres what our Welfare and Inclusions officer has to say...

'The welfare goal of SUTCo is to always prioritise the safety of our members and audience - to ensure that as many people as possible are included and the views of those affected by any decision are always taken into account. Furthermore, it is to recognise wider power structures within society and ensure that the decisions and conduct of SUTCo and its members do not further marginalise groups of people and that decisions are made with compassion as much as possible.'
